Tournament Baseball and Track and Field:
It will be a busy end to the week for our track and field and baseball teams as they head into tournament action. The track and field teams will head to Colonel Crawford today and Friday for the division 3 district meet. Field events will begin at 4pm and running events at 5:30pm both days. Today's running events will be all prelims with the exception of the 4x800 m relay. Top 8 times in all events today will advance to finals on Friday. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time via www.ohsaa.org/tickets or with cash at the gate. Purchasing online ahead of time is recommended to avoid long lines at the gate. Tickets are $8 adults and $5 students. Colonel Crawford will also be charging a $5 parking fee per car each day.
The baseball team will be hosting Ridgemont in the division 7 sectional finals on Friday at 3pm. Admission will be charged as this is an OHSAA postseason event and no Plymouth season or family passes will be accepted. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time via www.ohsaa.org/tickets or with cash at the game. Tickets are $8 adults and $5 students. A win over Ridgemont on Friday would advance the Big Red to next week's district tournament in Galion on Thursday 5/29 at 2pm.

Big Red Baseball Recap:
The varsity baseball team finished off a busy week over the weekend as they continued preparing for the postseason with non-conference games on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday, they hosted Margaretta and fell to the Polar Bears by a 8-3 final score and had just one bad inning that was the difference in the game. Then on Saturday they traveled to Rittman and bounced back with a 8-4 win in extra innings. The score was tied at 4 after 7 innings of play forcing the extra innings and after a scoreless 8th inning the Big Red exploded for 4 runs in the top of the 9th to seal the win over the Indians. They now hold a 13-10 overall record and will play their final regular season tune-up game tomorrow hosting Wynford before entering tournament play on Friday.
