Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The Lady Big Red softball team entered postseason play last night taking on Seneca East at Buckeye Central in the sectional finals and battled the Tigers but struggled to get any offense going and lost by a 6-1 final score. Their season comes to an end with a 6-18 overall record. The baseball team continued regular season play and hosted Mapleton in their final league game of the season and picked up their 3rd win in a row and this week defeating the Mounties by a 6-4 final score. The win secures the Big Red a 2nd place finish in the league with a 9-5 record in league play! They are now 12-9 overall and will be right back in action tonight hosting Margaretta.

Big Red Family! A message from one of our parents, Renee Friedrich-Music: The Big Red Varsity Baseball team is an extraordinary group of young men! Kudos to their coaches and their parents. My kiddo (first grade) waited until after the game to get his ball signed- every single one of them on the team gladly stuck around to sign and went above and beyond to award him their home run ball. Way to be a great example for the youth, as they are always watching! ⚾️❤️ #GBR We love this and are so proud of these young men!

Elementary News! Reading is FUN! Mrs. Reichert's second grade class spent time reading in blanket forts this week!

SMS News! The 6th graders enjoyed reading a book to the kindergartens. Afterwards, each kindergarten student was able to take a book home.

Big Red Family! Today at Plymouth Library - Free Backpack Meals for kids 18 and under! Starting Thursday at 4:30 while supplies last.

Athletic News! Tonight's softball tournament game against Seneca East has been moved to Buckeye Central and will start at 7pm. This is due to Seneca East's field being unplayable today after last night's rain. Admission will still be charged and any online tickets already purchased will be good to use. Tickets are $8 adults and $5 for students both online ahead of time and at the gate. Go Big Red!!

Athletic News! Day 1 of the conference track meet was cancelled last night due to weather. Due to this the meet will now be run as a one day meet tomorrow, Friday 5/16. Field events will begin at 3pm with running events at 4:30pm. Spectators who purchased a ticket yesterday before it was cancelled can use that ticket for entry tomorrow but will need to present the ticket at the gate. Tickets are $7 adults and $6 students. Go Big Red!

Athletic News! Last night was Senior Night for both Softball and Baseball. We would like to take this moment to recognize our Seniors! We are SO proud! Softball - Cailynn Bailey Baseball - Colton Hass and Hunter McClure Huge shout-out to the Softball team for raising $600 for Team Weston!

Athletic News! The Big Red baseball team has earned the #5 seed in the Division 7 Galion Sectional/District tournament and will host 6th seeded Ridgemont in the sectional finals on Friday May 23rd at 3pm. Please note the 3pm start time due to this being the same day as district track and sharing athletes. Admission will be charged and ticket information will be sent out next week. With a win over Ridgemont in this game the Big Red would advance to the district tournament the following week in Galion and would take on Mohawk on Thursday May 29th at 2pm.
