Big Red Recap:

It was a busy Thursday night around PHS and for our fall sports teams as all of our Lady Big Red volleyball teams were in action as well as MS football.

The MS football team hosted Monroeville in their final home game of the season and lost a tough game to the Eagles by a final score of 40-12. They will play their season finale next Thursday at Western Reserve.

The MS volleyball teams traveled to South Central for their last games of the regular season and came away with a sweep of the Trojans. The 7th grade won in 3 sets after dropping the 1st set while the 8th grade won in 2 straight sets. Both teams will participate in their respective firelands conference tournaments tomorrow with the 7th grade playing at Western Reserve and the 8th grade at Crestview.

The JV and Varsity volleyball teams hosted South Central in their regular season finales and both lost in straight sets to the Trojans. The varsity ends the regular season with a 3-19 overall record and will turn their attention to the postseason where they will take on Old Fort at Mohawk HS on Wednesday next week.

Attention Middle School Students
Great ready to Scoop Up Great Attendance!

We are excited to announce a new school-wide attendance initiative called, “Scoop Up Great Attendance.” Each Friday, our school counselor will update a bulletin board displaying each grade level’s average attendance for the week. At the end of the month, the grade with the highest overall attendance will receive an ice cream party.

Regular school attendance plays a vital role in student success–academically, socially, and emotionally. We encourage families to help by promoting consistent attendance and helping students arrive on time and ready to learn each day.

We recognize that there are times when students need to stay home due to illness, and we appreciate families making responsible choices to support the health of our school community.
