Big Red Recap:
The JV and Varsity volleyball teams were back at home on Thursday night hosting Lucas in non-league play and both teams came away with their first wins of the season in what ended up being a marathon night! After losing the 1st set the JV team bounced back to win sets 2 and 3 to take the win before the varsity outlasted the Cubs in a 5 set thriller. After the Cubs controlled the 1st set the Lady Big Red would storm back to take sets 2 and 3 back to back and took control of the game. Lucas then bounced back to win set 4 before the Lady Big Red outlasted the Cubs in set 5 and took the win! Congratulations to all of our girls and coaches on their first wins of the season! They are now 1-2 overall on the season and will be back in action on Monday at Mansfield Christian.
The golf team was also in action in a Quad meet at Willard with Seneca East and Shelby and fell to all 3 teams. The Big Red fired a team score of 206 with Carson Lewis again leading the way with a 48 and followed closely by Parker Miller with a 49. They will be back in action on Monday hosting Crestview.

Carson Lewis continued his solid play leading the way for the Big Red with a 43. They improve to 3-6 overall in dual matches and 1-4 in conference matches and will be back in action tonight in quad meet at Willard.

Both the JV and Varsity fell in straight sets to the Eagles and drop to 0-2 overall on the season. They will look to bounce back and get in the win column tomorrow as they host Lucas.

The JV and Varsity volleyball teams opened up their seasons on the road on Monday night at Sandusky St. Mary's and suffered a couple of tough losses. The JV lost in 2 straight sets before the varsity went a full 5 sets in a marathon match to open up the season. After losing the 1st set 25-21 they bounced back to win set 2 26-24 and set 3 25-20. They would then lose set 4 25-23 before dropping set 5 15-12. They will be right back in action tonight hosting Monroeville opening up conference play against the Eagles.
The golf team was also in action on Monday as they traveled to Millstone Hills GC to take on New London and had a rough day on the links falling by a team score of 165-220. The MS football game scheduled for Thursday 8/28 at Lucas has been moved to Wednesday 8/27 due to the varsity football game being moved to Thursday of that week. Kickoff will remain at 5pm at Lucas on Wednesday 8/27.

We have some changes for volleyball games scheduled for next Thursday vs Mapleton due to the football game being moved to Thursday night. Below are the changes.
JV/Varsity home vs Mapleton MOVED to WEDNESDAY 8/27 starting at 5:30pm.
MS at Mapleton will remain on Thursday 8//28 but has been moved up to a 4:30pm start time.
