Throwback Thursday
Times have changed, but the Plymouth Shiloh community will always be home. Inspired by the yearbook pictures of past years, we will have Throwback Thursdays. See if you can guess the school year, student(s) and/or staff pictured. We will give the correct answer on Fridays. 😃

Good Morning. Today is Thursday, September 25 and the Plymouth Shiloh Schools are on a 2 hour delay due to fog. There will be no morning preschool. Thank you.

Big Red Family!
The Life Coach Program is open to ALL schools (Elementary, Middle and High) in our District.
Plymouth-Shiloh Schools are proud to announce the return of the Life Coach Program. Life coaching is a voluntary, non-mental health service that can make a positive impact on the education of our students. Trained mentors can help students enhance their self-awareness, control, and confidence. Learning these skills can drastically influence the love of school, as well as educational success. Mentors will be in the district and available to talk to students 3-4 days a week.
Please feel free to call Mrs. Montgomery at 419-687-8200 x22019 or email at smontgomery@plymouthk12.org with any questions or if you would like to opt your child out of this opportunity.

Big Red Weekend Recap:
It was a beautiful weekend for homecoming festivities for the Big Red and it all started on Friday night with the homecoming game against the Mapleton Mounties. The Big Red and Mounties treated the large crowd at Alumni Field to an exciting back and forth game that went down to the final play. Things got started on a positive note for the Big Red as Keegan Beverly took the opening kickoff and ran it back over 60 yards and put the Big Red in the red zone to start their first possession of the game. After a few plays Lincoln Distl found the endzone on a QB run to give the Big Red the early lead 7-0. Mapleton would then find their own rhythm on offense early in the game as they used a couple long drives with the run game to score two 1st half TD's capped off by 2 point conversions and would take a 16-7 lead into halftime. Mapleton would then add another TD on their first possession of the 2nd half on a long pass play to extend the lead to 22-7 and began to try and pull away from the Big Red. The Big Red would not go quietly and would quickly grab the momentum as Isaiah Miller snapped off a 64 yard TD run on the next possession to cut the deficit to 22-14. The defense then carried the momentum and stopped the Mounties on their next possession and then Miller again broke a long run and found the endzone on the Big Red's next possession which would make the score 22-20 Mounties. The Big Red defense would again come up big with a timely fumble recovery giving the Big Red the opportunity to take a lead in the 4th quarter. The Big Red used the ground and pound game for a drive that ended with a Ben Trimmer TD followed by an Isaiah Miller 2 point conversion as the Big Red took a 28-22 lead with just under 6 minutes to play in the game. Unfortunately, that was just enough time for the Mapleton offense to methodically drive down the field and score the game tying TD and go ahead 2 point conversion with 1:09 left in the game. The Big Red had a couple chances at long throws into the endzone as time expired but got turned away and lost a heartbreaker by the 30-28 final score. They fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play and will travel to Crestview this week.
The Golf team was in action on Saturday morning as they traveled to the Orrville State Farm Invite at Riceland GC and had their best 18 hole tournament showing of the season as they fired a team score of 383 which was good for 14th place overall. Parker Miller led the way individually with a 86. They will head into postseason action on Thursday this week at the Sectional tournament at Valley View GC.
The Cross Country teams were also in action on Saturday morning as they traveled to Fremont for the St. Joe Invite. The HS girls had their best showing on the season as they brought home hardware with a 2nd place team finish. Morgan Follett led the way with a 3rd place finish in a time of 20:48. Audrey Smith also added a top 10 finish finishing in 10th place with a time of 23:23. Kristi Yeager took 16th, while Anna Caughenbaugh took 21st and Aly Lewis took 22nd. For the HS boys, Carter Jester led the way with a 17th place finish in a time of 20:27. Weston Smith (29th), Levi Foley (34th), and Luke Kelbley (41st) rounded out the scoring for the boys. Ari Miller represented the MS girls with a 20th place finish while Gabe Wilcox took 31st and Gabe Tackett took 37th in the MS boys race. The teams will be back in action on Saturday at Buckeye Central's Invite.
