On Friday evening, the track and field teams competed in the Bob Royer Invitational at Colonel Crawford High School. The boys finished 10th and the girls finished 11th.

Ohio Military Kids Camps provide positive development experiences for youth whose parents are deployed in military service, as well as opportunities for military-connected youth to connect, learn, and have fun in an outdoor setting.
Registration is now open for Ohio Military Kids Teen Leadership Camp. Information about additional summer camps is also available on the Ohio Military Kids website.

Big Red Recap:
The varsity baseball and softball teams were in action on Wednesday night taking on St. Paul for the 2nd night in a row completing the conference series against the Flyers. The baseball team lost a tough pitcher's duel by a 1-0 final score. Lincoln Distl earned the tough luck loss on the mound as he pitched another gem but the Big Red offense could not plate any runs in the tough loss. They drop to 8-6 overall and 5-4 in conference play and will be back in action on Friday hosting Buckeye Central.
The softball team lost to the Flyers for the 2nd straight night falling this time by a 10-0 final score. They drop to 5-12 overall and 2-8 in the conference and will also be back in action tomorrow hosting Buckeye Central.
The JV softball team returned to action traveling to Northmor and lost by an 18-5 final score. They will be right back in action tonight hosting Northmor.
The MS Track and Field teams were also in action as they traveled to Crestview's John Murray Invite. The girls team took 7th while the boys took 6th place. The only individual to score team points for the girls was Aubree Stephens who took 5th place in the shot put. The girls 4x100 m relay team also scored by taking 5th place as well. For the boys, Weston Smith led the way with a 2nd place finish in the 400 m dash and a 6th place finish in the 200 m dash. Jax Tackett also had a solid night as he took 3rd in both the shot put and discus throw. Hemi Hicks also scored in the shot put following Jax with a 4th place finish. The boys had a solid night in relays as the 4x100 m relay team and the shuttle hurdle relay team both took 4th place while the 4x200 m relay team took 5th. The teams will be off until next Thursday when they finish their season at Crestline's Invite.

Yesterday
at the OHSAA spring discussion meeting and northwest district awards ceremony Al Arnold, a 1963 graduate of Plymouth High School received the Mac Morrison award for his lifelong service to interscholastic athletics. After graduation Al went on to be a teacher and coach and has spent his life serving student-athletes all over northwest Ohio. He has coached 9 different sports at a variety of different levels while being a teacher and administrator and is still coaching to this day as he currently serves as an assistant track and field coach at Lincolnview HS in Van Wert where he and his wife (also a PHS) currently live. Al is also a member of the Plymouth High School Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1960-61 basketball team.

FCCLA News!
Plymouth High School FCCLA went to the State Leadership Conference April 24-25th. They got the opportunity to see awards presented and accept the FACTS Grant Award Plymouth received. They got to hear keynote speakers, network at an expo and see all that FCCLA has to offer.
Special congrats to Ace Bragg who competed in Interpersonal Communications with his project on Communication with the Neurodiverse.

Big Red Family!
A couple weeks ago the National Honor Society hosted a 50/50 change drive in the High School. Between all the classes in the high school we were able to donate $500 to the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus. The winning class was Ms. Woodward's Second Period Class. Second place was Mr. Silcox's Second Period Class. Thank you to everyone who donated and for making an impact on our community and others that use the Ronald McDonald House Resources. GBR!

Big Red Recap:
The varsity baseball and softball teams returned to action on Tuesday night and beat the stormy weather as they hosted St. Paul in conference action. The softball team lost to the Flyers by a 14-2 final score and drop to 5-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
The baseball team picked up a big conference win over the Flyers behind another strong effort from Jarrett Burrer on the mound as he went the distance allowing only one run on two hits. The 6-1 win over the Flyers improves the Big Red to 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the conference and keeps them in a tie for 1st place in the conference.
Both teams will be right back in action tonight at St. Paul.
