ESports News! The High School Esports team has their first Valorant competition tonight after school. If you didn't bring your gaming equipment to school, please make arrangements to get that taken care of before the end of the day. If anyone on the team has any questions, reach out to Coach Owen during the day today on Discord. Middle School practice is virtual tonight from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

Athletic News! Winter Sports Schedule Release and Information! September and the fall sports season is flying by and as we are looking forward to the remainder of the fall season. The winter season is looming and approaching quickly. Complete winter sports game and event schedules are attached to this post below. We will post updates as we approach the season if there are any changes made. Below is some additional information and important dates for the beginning of the winter season. Mandatory Parent/Team Meetings - Wednesday 10/23 6pm Athletes who did not play a fall sport need to be in attendance for both portions of the meeting along with a parent/guardian starting at 6pm. Athletes and parents who attended the fall meeting only need to attend the individual team meetings that will begin around 6:45pm. Mandatory Practice start dates: Monday 10/21 - MS girls basketball Friday 10/25 - HS girls basketball Monday 10/28 - MS boys basketball Friday 11/1 - HS boys basketball Friday 11/15 - HS and MS wrestling Go Big Red!!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The JV and Varsity Volleyball teams were the only Big Red teams in action on Tuesday night as they hosted Monroeville and both fell in straight sets to the high-powered Eagles. They will both be right back in action on Thursday traveling to New London.

Esports News! MS Esports practice tonight! They are grinding away and have their first match against Buckeye Central next Tuesday. 🎮

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The MS Volleyball teams were the only teams in action on Monday night as they traveled to Monroeville and came away with a split with the Eagles. The 7th grade lost while the 8th grade completed the season sweep with another exciting win over the Eagles. Both teams will be back in action on Thursday when they host New London.

Big Red Weekend Recap: The weekend started on Friday night as the Big Red returned home and hosted St. Paul in Firelands conference play. For the 2nd week in a row it was tough sledding for the Big Red offense as they struggled to move the ball and sustain drives against the Flyers. The defense played tough and made the Flyers work early in the game. St. Paul scored their first TD midway through the 1st quarter to make it 8-0 and then capitalized on two Big Red turnovers to make the score 22-0 and would take that lead into the half. They would add two 2nd half TD's to make the final score 34-0 as the Big Red drop to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. They will be back on the road this week traveling to Mapleton on Friday night. On Saturday, the Cross Country teams traveled to Black River for the annual J.B. Firestone Invite hosted by the Pirates. It was a great day for the Big Red as Morgan Follett was the champion of the girls race finishing with a time of 21:08. This is Morgan's 1st career invite win as she led the way for the girls who finished in 9th place as a team. Audrey Smith was next in line with a 35th place finish while Anna Caughenbaugh took 56th, Kristi Yeager took 60th, and Aly Lewis took 61st. For the boys, Dallas Thompson led the way with a 49th place finish followed by Colton Sundstrom in 53rd and Luke Kelbley in 120th. Weston Smith led the MS runners with a 7th place finish in the MS boys race. He was followed by Carter Jester in 23rd and Gabe Tackett in 86th. Ari Miller represented the MS girls and took 70th place. They will all be back in action this Saturday at the Buckeye Central Invite. The golf team was also in action on Saturday as they traveled to Orrville for the State Farm Invite at Riceland GC. They fired a team score of 411 and came in 13th place as a team. Colton Hass led the way with an 84. They will now prepare for the Sectional tournament on Thursday this week.

Elementary News! Mrs. McPeek's class went to the Shriner's Picnic at the Richland County Fairgrounds. They had so much FUN! 😎

Athletic News! Week 5 Gameday! Week 5 and the halfway point of the HS football season is already here and the Big Red finally return home to Alumni Field! They are set to continue Firelands Conference play tonight taking on St. Paul. Kickoff is set for 7pm. It's going to be another warm and beautiful Friday night for football so come out and support your Big Red. Student pre-sale tickets can be purchased in the HS office throughout the day for $4. All tickets will be $7 at the gate like normal. Go Big Red!!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap It was another busy Thursday for the Big Red that started during the day with the golf team traveling to Brookside GC in Ashland for the Firelands Conference Tournament. The Big Red didn't have their best day and fired a team score of 407 finishing in last place. Colton Hass led the way with an 86 and his score on the day earned him honorable mention honors in the conference. They will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Orrville for the State Farm Invite at Riceland GC as they begin to prepare for next week's sectional tournament. The MS Volleyball teams hosted South Central and again came away with a split after both games went 3 full sets. The 7th grade continued their streak of good play and came away with the win while the 8th grade dropped a thriller by losing set 3 by a score of 25-23. Both teams will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Monroeville. The MS Football team traveled to St. Paul and came away with a tough 48-0 loss to the Flyers. They will look to regroup and bounce back next Thursday when they host Mapleton. The HS Volleyball teams traveled to South Central for a tripleheader and got swept by the Trojans as all teams fell in straight sets. They will be back in action on Tuesday next week when they host Monroeville.

SMS News! Our 5th Grade made pancakes this week in FCS (Family and Consumer Sciences) to practice kitchen and food safety. Way to go!
