PHS News!
(This is ONLY for the Junior Class of 2026/Parents.)
State-Funded ACT Letter - Class of 2026
Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2026:
Each year Ohio offers a state-funded ACT for Juniors. However, beginning this year for
the Class of 2026, a parent or guardian can exercise the option for their student not to
take the state-funded ACT as indicated in House Bill 82, which was introduced to
provide more flexibility to parents and students in their academic choices.
Families who decide NOT to have their student participate in the ACT testing in
February 2025 please know:
● The ACT provides valuable information for post-secondary planning and is used
by many colleges and universities for admissions.
● The ACT fees range from $63 to $88, depending on the test options. If a student
opts out of the state-funded test in February 2025 and decides to take it later, the
family will be responsible for covering the costs of any future ACT test.
**Please return the form to Plymouth High School by Wednesday, December 4th or
complete the Google Form emailed to you no later than December 4th.
If you have any questions please call Mrs. Green, 419-687-8200 ext. 22125.
