Athletic News! Just a reminder to everyone that we will be celebrating Military Appreciation Night tomorrow night. All veterans and active duty members will be admitted free of charge and will be asked to sign in with the cheerleaders. We will have a ceremony right before tip-off of varsity and will recognize all military members in attendance.

Athletic News! The cancelled JV and Varsity boys basketball games at Crestline have been rescheduled for Monday 1/27 starting with JV at 6pm. Because of this the freshman game that was rescheduled for Monday with Western Reserve has now been cancelled. The JV/Varsity girls game on Monday at home vs Western Reserve will remain as a 6:30pm start time.

Athletic News! Attached is the finalized bracket for the 7th grade girls basketball tournament at Crestview. The Lady Big Red are the 4th seed and will take on 5th seeded New London in the first round on Saturday morning at 10am at Crestview High School. With a win over New London they would advance to the semi-finals on Monday 1/27 and would take on Western Reserve back at Crestview.

Big Red Family! Throwback Thursday Times have changed, but the Plymouth Shiloh community will always be home. Inspired by the yearbook pictures of past years, we will have Throwback Thursdays. See if you can guess the school year, student(s) and/or staff pictured. We will give the correct answer on Fridays. 😀

Lunch Room News! Menu changes: The elementary school will be having fish sandwich, mixed vegetables, and sorbet cup Thursday January 23. On Friday January 24 they will be having the French toast casserole, sausage patty, hashbrowns/peas, and apples. The high school is doing their taco salad, refried beans/salsa, and pineapple on Thursday January 23 and on Friday January 24 they’ll be doing their French toast casserole, sausage patty, hashbrowns/peas, and pineapple.

Athletic News! We hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the extra long weekend coming off of the Buckeyes championship win on Monday! Old man winter definitely has impacted our schedule for the week. Below is the updated weekly schedule here at Plymouth for Thursday-Saturday as we have cancelled all events through Wednesday. Athletic News! Recap! It was a busy weekend for the Big Red as our winter teams took advantage of a couple days of decent weather and beat the incoming arctic blast that is going to heavily impact this week's events. The JV and varsity girls basketball team got it started on Friday night as they traveled to Mapleton to continue to Firelands conference play and both lost to the Mounties. Both games were all Mapleton from start to finish as the varsity fell by a 58-27 final score. The loss drops them to 5-9 overall and 4-5 in conference play. They will return to action on Thursday at home against Mansfield Christian. The MS girls basketball team played twice over the weekend as they took on Mapleton on Friday and St. Paul on Saturday morning and lost two tough games to the Mounties and Flyers. They will now return to action on Thursday traveling to New London for their last regular game before the conference tournament. The MS boys basketball teams hosted St. Paul on Saturday morning as both the 7th and 8th grade teams also lost to the Flyers. They will also return to action on Thursday this week at Crestview. The MS wrestling team was also in action on Saturday as they took part in the annual Randy Harner Invite at New London. Jayce Rogers and Levi Foley led the way for the Big Red with 3rd place finishes while Clayton Tabor added a 5th place finish. The varsity wrestling team was in action at the Mapleton Dave Rohr Invite and had a strong day with a 3rd place team finish led by four individual champions; Zach Miller, Isaiah Miller, Hunter McClure, and Noah Robinson. Thomas Winegardner took 2nd place while Ben Trimmer added a 4th place finish and Lucas Distil took 6th. Noah Robinson was named Most Valuable Wrestler! They will be back in action this Saturday at Sugarcreek Garaway. The JV and Varsity boys rounded out the weekend as they took on South Central on Saturday night at South Central. The JV lost to the Trojans while the varsity got back in the win column by making it a season sweep over their backyard rivals. The Big Red held the lead for the entire game but South Central used several spurts throughout the game to keep it close before the Big Red pulled away in the 4th quarter for a 56-44 win. The win improves them to 6-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play. They will return to action on Friday hosting Mapleton.

Big Red Family! Good afternoon. The Plymouth Shiloh schools are going to close school on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2025 due to extreme cold temperatures. All school activities will be cancelled starting at 6:00 pm this evening until noon on Wednesday. Thank you and stay warm.

Big Red Family! Today (Saturday) the entire Lady Big Red girls basketball team from youth teams through varsity attended the Heidelberg University women’s basketball game! They got to see a Heidelberg win and then had the opportunity to eat pizza with the team and got a campus tour from Heidelberg players. Great day for the Lady Big Red present and future!! Special shout out to Heidelberg University athletes  Lilli White and Emily Valencia for the campus tour and Q&A session with our girls!! This is AWESOME! 🤩

Athletic News! We have added a wrestling meet to the schedule for Wednesday February 12th at Brookside HS. This will be a tri meet with Brookside and Chagrin Falls and is scheduled to make up for the cancelled invite last weekend. Wrestling will begin at 6pm.

Athletic News! The JV only girls basketball game at Temple Christian that was cancelled earlier this week has been rescheduled for Thursday February 6th at Temple Christian at 5pm.

PHS News! ATTN: SENIORS The Ohio Natural Energy Institute is proud to provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in the natural gas and oil industry. Each scholarship is worth $1,500 per year with a total of four years of potential eligibility. The minimum scholarship applicant criteria include: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have a career goal in the natural gas and oil industry. Must be an OHIO resident OR a student attending, or planning to attend, an accredited OHIO college, university, technical or trade school. Must have and maintain a grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.5 or higher. Application submission requirements: Completion of the application Provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher, employer or other mentor. Provide an essay consisting of no less that 250 words (details provided on the application). Provide a resume that includes academic achievements, extracurriculars, awards, community service and work history. Ashland University's attached flyer has dates coming up for Spring Open Houses at AU ~ College of Nursing and Health Sciences [CONHS] Academic building in Mansfield Ohio, as well as at the Main Ashland University campus for any high school students interested in nursing and health sciences! The next two AU ~ CONHS (Mansfield campus) Open Houses to choose from are February 17 (President's Day) and March 18 (Tuesday)! Any interested students can register via the QR code on the attachment. Athletic News! Here is a recap of rescheduled dates and times for yesterday's cancelled MS basketball games with Mapleton. MS Girls is rescheduled for TODAY, Friday at 4:30pm in our elementary gym. MS Boys is rescheduled for Monday January 27th at 5pm and will be played in our elementary gym.

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The winter weather once again had an impact on our Big Red athletic events on Thursday as it cancelled our MS basketball games with Mapleton however our JV and Varsity boys were able to make the trip to Western Reserve to take on the Roughriders. It was a rough night for the Big Red as the JV team lost 57-12 while the varsity lost 66-47. The varsity game was close during much of the first half as the Big Red held a small lead after the first quarter and then trailed 22-18 at halftime. Western Reserve started to find their groove on offense in the second half and the Big Red struggled to keep up eventually losing by the 66-47 final score. They drop to 5-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play and will be right back in action tomorrow night back on the road at South Central.

Athletic News! Thursday Athletic Update: Tonight’s MS boys and girls basketball games at home against Mapleton have been cancelled due to the snow day. The MS girls game has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Friday 1/17 and will start at 4:30pm. There is no decided date for the MS boys games at this time. Tonight’s JV/Varsity Boys Basketball games at Western Reserve are ON as scheduled. JV starts at 6pm.
