Big Red Recap:
Thursday night was a busy night of basketball action for the Big Red as our teams started to get back into the swing of things after the winter weather heavily impacted things earlier in the week. Both of the MS boys and girls basketball teams returned to action last night on the road. The MS girls traveled to New London to cap off their regular season and lost to the Wildcats as they end the season with a 3-11 overall record. They will open up firelands conference tournament play tomorrow morning at Crestview taking on New London again at 10am in the first round.
The MS boys traveled to Crestview and came away with a split with the Cougars as the 7th grade lost a tough game before the 8th grade came away with a victory. Both teams will be right back in action tomorrow morning hosting New London at 10am.
The JV and Varsity girls were also in action as they hosted Mansfield Christian in non-league play and both fell to the Flames. The JV lost their 2 quarter game by a 13-6 final score before the varsity struggled to keep up with the fast paced play of the Flames and lost by a 51-20 final score. The Lady Big Red drop to 5-10 overall on the season and will also be right back in action tomorrow as they travel to Monroeville for a 1pm varsity only contest.
