Big Red Weekend Recap:
The Fall sports season officially came to a close over the weekend for the Big Red as the football team concluded their season at home on Friday night while the cross country team saw their season end at the regional meet on Saturday.
On Friday night the Big Red hosted South Central in the season finale and celebrated our fall sports seniors and band members before kickoff. The first half was fast moving as both teams used the running game to hold possession of the ball and only saw one TD scored during the half as South Central scored the only one of the half in the 1st quarter to hold a 6-0 lead at the half. The Big Red would answer in the 3rd quarter on a Cullen Mason to Isaiah Miller 25 yard TD pass as they tied the game at 6. The score would remain 6-6 until the 4th quarter when South Central would add two late TD's to pull away for the 20-6 win over the Big Red. The Big Red end the season with a 1-9 overall record. We are proud of all of our football players, coaches, cheerleaders, and band members for how they represented the school and community all season on the field!
On Saturday, the Cross Country teams had several athletes compete in the Division 4 Regional meet in Tiffin at Hedges-Boyer park and while they competed hard and ran their best they saw their season come to an end. For the girls...
Audrey Smith finished 113th in a time of 22:07.65
Anna Caughenbaugh finished 194th in a time of 23:43.93
Kristi Yeager finished 202nd in a time of 23:52.72
Aly Lewis finished 280th in a time of 26:08.36
Morgan Follett was unable to finish due to an injury.
For the boys...
Weston Smith finished 281st in a time of 20:54.25
Carter Jester finished 284th in a time of 21:21.22
Congratulations to all of our Cross Country athletes and coaches for a great season!
