PHS News! Congratulations to Seth Love, Isaiah Miller, and David Milligan for earning membership into the 1000 pound club in Weightlifting/Advanced PE class. These students totalled over 1000 pounds in the bench press, power clean, deadlift, and squat. They did an outstanding job this year!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The Big Red baseball team took on Mohawk yesterday in the district semi-finals in Galion and it was not the Big Red's best day on the field. The top-seeded Warriors jumped right on the Big Red with 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and took control of the game and never looked back. The final score was 11-1 as the Big Red end their season with a 15-12 overall record and a lot to be proud of including a 2nd place finish in the conference and a sectional championship! Congratulations to our players and coaches on a great season!

Athletic News! Summer Athletic Calendar: The end of the school year is here which means our athletic teams and coaches are already preparing for next year! Summer workouts for most of our programs will begin next week. See the below master calendar for all athletic workouts and events over the summer. Please note this covers most sports and workouts but does not necessarily encompass everything and things could be added/changed over the summer. While summer workouts are not mandatory, we highly encourage all of our athletes to take advantage of as many opportunities over the summer to improve their skills and conditioning. Go Big Red!! Athletic News! District Baseball Gameday! The Big Red baseball team is set to take on Mohawk in the division 7 district semi-finals today at 2pm at Galion's Heise Park. Admission will be charged and tickets can be purchased online ahead of time via www.ohsaa.org/tickets or with cash at the game. Tickets are $8 adults and $5 students. With a win today over Mohawk the Big Red would advance to Saturday's district championship game back in Galion at 2pm. Go Big Red!!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: Two of our three regional track qualifiers competed last night in the division 3 regional at North Royalton HS. Izaya Reynolds and Isaiah Miller both competed in the prelims of their respective races. Izaya finished with the 10th fastest time in the 400 m dash while Isaiah had the 12th fastest time in the 300 m hurdles both missing out on advancing to Friday's finals. Both had outstanding seasons and represented the Big Red very well at the regional level!

Athletic News! 5th and 6th Grade Fall Volleyball League If any girl is interested in playing on the 5th or 6th grade volleyball team next school year, please join the Team Reach App. Code: 5thSMSVB6th Sign-ups and information will be posted in this group along with practices. This will begin in August. If you are interested in coaching the 5th or 6th grade team, please message Coach Furr on the app. Some information about the league: Practices will be 2 days a week, and these will depend on coaches' schedules and the MS practices/games. Games are played on Sundays in the afternoon. We will have a few home games, and we will travel to half the games as well. 6th graders will have a tournament at the end of their season as well. Athletic News! Good luck to our regional track and field qualifiers!! Izaya and Isaiah will be competing tonight in the prelims of the regional at North Royalton HS while Morgan will compete on Friday at the Fostoria regional!

School Nurse News! Just a friendly reminder that if your child has medication at school then it needs to be picked up by the last day of school, May 29th. Any medication that is not picked up will be properly disposed of. Medication cannot be sent home with the student. Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The baseball team traveled to Sandusky St. Mary's on Tuesday night for an added regular season game and won a high scoring affair by an 18-11 final score. The win improves the Big Red to 15-11 overall on the season as they prep for tomorrow's district semi-final matchup against Mohawk.
