Athletic News! Senior Night and Week 9 Gameday! The football season is winding down and week 9 and senior night is already here for the Big Red as they are set to host Monroeville with kickoff set for 7pm at Alumni Field. All fall sport senior athletes and band members will be recognized on the field starting promptly at 6:30pm. Senior parents and families being recognized are asked to arrive at the stadium by 6:15pm so we can get lined up and organized. As always $4 student pre-sale tickets can be purchased in the HS office until the end of the school day. Come out and support your Big Red seniors as they take Alumni Field for the final time tonight! Go Big Red!!

SMS News! This week was secret teacher week. The last day was dress like a coach! The SMS teachers dressed as their favorite football coach, Mr.Gillum! 😊 We love it! GO BIG RED!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The Lady Big Red volleyball team traveled to St. Paul last night to take on the Danbury Lakers in the 1st round of the postseason tournament and saw their season come to an end in a 3 set loss. They finish the season with a 2-21 overall record. It was a tough season for the Lady Big Red but we are proud of them for their hard work and dedication all season!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The MS football teams traveled to Monroeville last night to take on the Eagles in their final games of the season and both lost to the Eagles. That brings the MS football season to a close and we are proud of the hard work and improvement the Big Red showed all season!

PHS News! In Mr. Silcox's Modern World History classes students have been learning about the Industrial Revolution. Within this unit students had to research and create a google drawing about an invention. In class, students had a Gallery Walk to see everyone's project and vote on the projects that looked the best and had the best information. The top two projects for each class as voted on by their classmates were: 2nd Period: Izabel Featheringill (The Elevator) & Addie Howell (Cotton Candy) 3rd Period: Gabe Cole (Aspirin) & Kailynn Leroux (Volleyball) 4th Period: Christopher Whittington (The Tank) & Erika Montry (Motorcycle)

Esports News! The HS Esports Valorant team will take on Lakota after school today. Good luck! MS Esports will be virtual from 6:30-8:00.

Athletic News! Winter Sports Pre-Season Meetings and Information: The winter sports mandatory pre-season parent/team meetings are scheduled for one week from tonight, Wednesday October 23rd at 6pm in the HS gym. Winter athletes who did not play a fall sport or attend the fall meeting need to be in attendance with a parent/guardian beginning at 6pm. Athletes who played a fall sport and attended the fall meeting only need to come to the individual team meetings which will begin around 6:45pm. All athletes planning to play a winter sport need to be at the individual team meetings beginning at 6:45pm. We look forward to kicking off the winter sports season next Wednesday! Athletic News! Volleyball and Cross Country Tournament Information: The Big Red volleyball and cross country teams are preparing to enter the postseason this week as their regular seasons officially came to a close last week. The volleyball team will take on Danbury in the 1st round of the Division 7 Sectional/District tournament on Thursday at St. Paul HS. This will be the 2nd of two games starting at approximately 7:30pm. Tickets for this can be purchased online ahead of time via www.ohsaa.org/tickets or with cash at the gate. Tickets will be $5 for students and $8 for adults. To purchase online, click on volleyball and then division 7 and then scroll down to our game with Danbury. With a win over Danbury on Thursday they would advance to next week's district tournament at Seneca East. The cross country teams will compete in the division 3 district meet in Galion on Saturday at Amman's Reservoir. The boys will run at 10am while the girls will run at 10:45am. Tickets for this MUST be purchased online ahead of time via www.ohsaa.org/tickets. There will be NO cash sales at the gate. All tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Good luck to all cross country and volleyball athletes preparing for the postseason this week!
