Big Red Recap:
The winter weather once again had an impact on our Big Red athletic events on Thursday as it cancelled our MS basketball games with Mapleton however our JV and Varsity boys were able to make the trip to Western Reserve to take on the Roughriders. It was a rough night for the Big Red as the JV team lost 57-12 while the varsity lost 66-47. The varsity game was close during much of the first half as the Big Red held a small lead after the first quarter and then trailed 22-18 at halftime. Western Reserve started to find their groove on offense in the second half and the Big Red struggled to keep up eventually losing by the 66-47 final score. They drop to 5-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play and will be right back in action tomorrow night back on the road at South Central.
