PHS News! Yesterday, in Mr. Silcox's History Through Films class the students replicated a scene from the movie 1917. In the movie 1917 one of the main characters, Lance Corporal Schofield, has to deliver a message to stop an attack. While delivering this message he has to run through the battlefield. In the movie the Lance Corporal ran 300+ meters. During WW1 the average weight of military equipment was 40 to 80 pounds. The students walked or jogged a lap around the track (400 meters) with a 25 pound weight or a 45 pound barbell.
