SMS News! The middle school classrooms participated in a door decorating competition this week. Mrs. Minniear ( Minions) and Mrs. Hintz (Christmas Story) tied in both categories Best Door Overall and Most Creative. Great job, everyone.

SMS News! On Wednesday, the middle school students were encouraged to wear an ugly Christmas sweater. They were voted on by a few staff members. Winners- 5th grade- Violet Schwaderer, 6th grade- Claire Helms, 7th grade- Addie Furr and 8th grade- Brooklyn DeCapio. 🎄

Athletic News! Big Red Recap: The MS basketball teams were all in action on Wednesday night as they all took on Lucas in non-conference action. The MS girls hosted the Cubs and came away with a convincing win for the 2nd night in a row. They will be back in action on Saturday when they host Western Reserve for their final game before the holiday break. The MS boys traveled to Lucas and came away with a split with the Cubs. The 7th grade picked up a 44-30 win while the 8th grade lost. Both teams will be right back in action tonight getting back into league play by hosting Crestview. Reminder, that tonight's 8th grade game will be only 2 quarters due to low numbers for Crestview. The Freshman boys were also in action as they traveled to New London and came away with their 2nd win in a row improving to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They will be back in action on Monday next week at Crestview.

Elementary News! Preschool and Kindergarten went to the Richland Carrousel yesterday. They had so much fun!!

Athletic News! Big Red Recap from 12-17-24: The MS Girls basketball team was the only team in action on Tuesday night as they traveled to Crestview and came away with a big win over the Cougars. They will look to make it two in a row tonight as they are right back in action hosting Lucas at 5pm.

Big Red Family! The High School and Middle School Donated over 400 Cans and over 400 Pounds of Fruit to the Plymouth-Shiloh Food Pantry. Thank you to all the students and teachers who donated and made a difference in the community. Special thank you to the National Honor Society and Middle School Student Council for organizing the event. And to the FFA and NHS for packaging, loading, and delivering all the items. #GBR

SMS News! 6th graders worked the past 2 days on building a sleigh for Santa. They were given a bag of supplies with the only directions to build a sleigh to hold toys while ziplinning successfully on a desk. They all did a great job. 🎅🏻
