Happy Birthday Ohio! 🥳
Although legally Ohio became the 17th state with the February 19, 1803 act of Congress, Ohio statehood is celebrated on March 1. The date of March 1, 1803 was when the Ohio legislature met for the first time. This was retroactively made the statehood date by a 1953 Resolution of the United States Congress. - archives.gov

Big Red Recap:
The tournament trail started on Thursday night for the Big Red boys basketball team as they hosted Mansfield St. Pete's in the sectional finals and got back in the win column with a 63-45 win over the Spartans. The Big Red controlled the game from start to finish as they jumped out to an early 20-7 lead and would cruise from there as they held a double digit lead for the entire game. The win earns the Big Red Back to Back Sectional Championships as they advance to the district tournament next week that will be held at Galion HS. They will take on top-seeded Tiffin Calvert in the district semi-finals on Thursday 3/5 at 6pm.
