SMS News!
Shiloh Middle school had a very successful cardboard boat regatta. 8 teams competed with 7 teams successfully completing the three lengths of the pool. (Picture 1) the team of Lexi Milligan, Jade-Anne Yarger, Macylynn Nickels, Jaden Winegardner finished 4th in the buoyancy category while the team of Jenson Kilgore, Peyton Ward, and Alanis Grose finished second in the buoyancy category.
(Picture 2) In the engineering category Shiloh Middle School had three teams place: the team of Mason Follett, Noah Hamons, Liam Means placed 4th.
The team of Brielle Allen, Lily Cook, and Baylee DeCapio placed third.
The team of Myles Hicks, Karson Garcia, and Clayton Tabor placed 2nd.

Athletic News!
Tonight’s softball games at the MVD tournament in Ontario have been cancelled due to field conditions. Tomorrow’s games will be played and will start an hour later than originally scheduled. The Lady Big Red will now play at 11am and 1pm.

The MS Track and Field teams were the only Big Red teams in action on Thursday night as they traveled to Monroeville for a tri meet with St. Paul. Top individual placers earning team points are as follows;
Placing 1st:
Weston Smith - 400 m dash
Carter Jester - 1600 m run
Carter Watkins - 110 m hurdles
Carson Roberts - 300 m hurdles
Boys 4x100 m relay
Boys 4x400 m relay
Placing 2nd:
Karson Flickinger - 100 and 200 m dashes
Hemi Hicks - 110 m hurdles
RJ Soblensky - 300 m hurdles
Liam Means - high jump
Boys 4x200 m relay
Koree Conley - 300 m hurdles
Baylee Decapio - discuss
Girls 4x400 m relay
Placing 3rd:
Hemi Hicks - shot put
Simon Worthington - 300 m hurdles

Both teams will be back in action next Thursday in a tri meet at New London.

Easter Break will begin April 18th to April 21st. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22nd.


Athletic News!
The Big Red baseball and softball teams returned to action on Wednesday night as the varsity teams traveled to South Central to round out their two game series with the Trojans. The softball team made it a clean sweep of the Trojans with a 6-4 win behind a strong effort on the mound from Madison Montgomery and a clutch HR in the top of the 6th inning from Makayla Cunningham. The Lady Big Red improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play and will be back in action this weekend at the annual MVD Invitational at Ontario's Marshall Park. The baseball team dropped a tough one to the Trojans by a 9-2 final score for the series split and falls to 3-2 overall and 1-1. They will be back in action on Friday traveling to Mohawk.
The JV softball team hosted Marion Elgin and notched their 2nd win in a row with a 18-8 win. They are scheduled to be right back in action tonight at Mansfield Christian.
