Big Red Weekend Recap:
The Big Red football team hosted Crestview on Friday night and it was another tough night for the Big Red as they again struggled offensively and could not get anything going en route to a 34-0 loss to the Cougars. It was all Cougars from the start as they scored on their first 5 possessions of the game to jump out to the 34-0 lead at the half. The 2nd half was played with a running clock as both teams went scoreless for the half. The Big Red drop to 1-6 overall on the season and 0-4 in conference play and will host New London this week on homecoming night.
The Cross Country teams traveled to New London on Saturday morning for the annual Dan Olien Invite and Morgan Follett again led the way with another outstanding individual performance as she notched her 2nd individual championship of the season with a time of 13:10 again breaking the schools two mile race record. The girls finished in 5th place as a team as Audrey Smith followed Morgan with a 22nd place finish. Anna Caughenbaugh followed right behind in 23rd place while Aly Lewis took 31st and Kristi Yeager took 32nd. The boys took 9th as a team as Colton Sundstrom led the way with a 35th place finish in a time of 12:23 while Dallas Thompson took 38th place. Zach Miller (64th), Luke Kelbley (90th), and Jack Kelbley (91st) rounded it out for the boys. Carter Jester led the MS runners with a 15th place finish while Gabe Tackett took 119th in the boys race while Ari Miller took 96th in the girls race. They will all be back in action on Saturday this weekend when we host the Firelands Conference Championship meet.

Today at Monroeville HS six Big Red student-athletes took part in the annual Firelands Conference Student Leadership Conference with student athletes from all eight FC schools. They engaged in leadership activities throughout the day and got the opportunity to listen to 3 outstanding speakers. While we are friendly rivals with all FC schools we are blessed to be in a conference that works together to support and lead all of our student athletes. Thanks to Monroeville HS for hosting this great event.
