Big Red Weekend Recap:

What a weekend! It all started on Friday night when the Big Red football team hosted Kennedy Catholic in the regular season finale as the Big Red were playing with their playoff hopes on the line needing a win over the Golden Eagles to advance to the Northern 8 conference playoffs. The Big Red removed all doubt and took control of the game early as Isaiah Miller got the scoring going with a rushing TD on the Big Red's opening possession. The Big Red would score quickly on their next possession as Weston Kamann found the end zone from the QB position on a broken play to make the score 12-0 before the Big Red would quickly get the ball back and Isaiah Miller found the end zone again to make the score 18-0 late in the 1st quarter. The Big Red would add one TD in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-0 lead into the half as the Big Red defense was matching the success of the offense. Weston and Isaiah would connect for a passing TD during the 3rd quarter to run the score to 34-0 which would eventually be the final score. Keegan Beverly had an outstanding game on the defensive side of the ball as he recorded 3 interceptions on the night and lead the Big Red defense to the shutout. The Big Red end the regular season with a 5-5 overall record and 5-4 in conference play. They finish conference play in a tie for 3rd place and have earned the 3rd seed in the Northern 8 playoffs and will take on 2nd seeded Fremont St. Joe's on Saturday at 7pm.

Then on Saturday morning our Big Red cross country teams competed in the Division 4 District Meet in Galion.
